Huawei updates smartwatch series with heart disease monitoring

Huawei has introduced significant health monitoring updates to its smartwatch lineup, specifically focusing on cardiovascular health. The new HarmonyOS 7 update for the WATCH FIT 5 series includes a coronary heart disease research project, allowing WATCH FIT 5 Pro users to initiate risk assessments directly on the device.

Additionally, the update enables pulse wave arrhythmia analysis and electrocardiogram (ECG) functions to be activated on the watch without requiring a smartphone app. Other enhancements include improved interface themes, AI-driven exercise interpretation, and expanded sports features such as slope compensation and shot distance for golf functionality on Pro models.
