Huawei-Chery Luxeed RX electric SUV unveiled, Ferrari-inspired design
Huawei Technologies and Chinese automaker Chery have announced the Luxeed RX, an electric SUV slated for pre‑sale in August 2026. The model will be offered in a rear‑wheel‑drive version with 371 hp and an all‑wheel‑drive version delivering 585 hp, a top speed of 251 km/h and a CLTC‑rated range of up to 852 km. Battery packs are planned in 81.1 kWh and 100 kWh sizes, and the vehicle is equipped with four LiDAR sensors and runs on Huawei’s Tuling autonomous‑driving platform with full redundancy for critical components.
The RX’s styling heavily echoes the Ferrari Purosangue, with a low roofline, aggressive rear end and a front‑mounted LiDAR sensor. Huawei and Chery claim a former Ferrari chief designer contributed to the design, a statement that Ferrari has disputed. Pricing is targeted around 300,000 yuan (about 300,000 DKK), far below the price of a comparable Ferrari, which costs roughly 8.5 million DKK in Denmark.
