Hubert-Félix Thiéfaine begins farewell tour following illness diagnosis

French rock singer Hubert-Félix Thiéfaine has launched a farewell concert tour titled ‘Des adieux …/…’ following a diagnosis of an incurable and progressive illness. The diagnosis was confirmed by specialists at the CHU de Dijon after the 78-year-old artist experienced alarming physical symptoms in early 2025.

The tour began on October 3, 2026, in Lannion, where approximately 3,000 fans attended the opening performance at Le Skope. The concert spanned two hours, covering 50 years of his musical career. To accommodate his health condition, the tour's logistics have been modified to include increased spacing between performances and adjusted travel arrangements.

The farewell tour is scheduled to include approximately 45 dates and is expected to conclude in Reims on June 5, 2027.
