Huberto Domecq workers call for indefinite strike in Spain

The CCOO Hábitat Cádiz union has announced an indefinite strike at the Huberto Domecq cooperage, scheduled to begin on October 26. The decision follows previous labor mobilizations in late September that failed to produce an agreement.

The union alleges that company management has blocked negotiations regarding wage improvements to compensate for lost purchasing power and has failed to present proposals to address labor demands. Additionally, workers have raised concerns regarding increased production rhythms and work organization methods.

A mediation attempt is scheduled for October 22 at the Extrajudicial Service for the Resolution of Collective Labor Conflicts (Sercla) of the Junta de Andalucía. This meeting serves as a final attempt to reach an agreement before the indefinite work stoppage commences.
