Hubert's Ride traditions held in Voderady and Košice

Traditional Hubert's Ride events, marking the end of the hunting and equestrian seasons, are being held in Voderady and Košice.

In Voderady, the event at the Zichy family manor features a simulated fox hunt, falconry demonstrations, and folk music. The program includes guided tours of the manor, its English park, and the Baroque Church of St. Andrew, highlighting the history of the Hungarian nobility. The festivities conclude with a traditional 'halali' ceremony and a Hubert dinner.

In Košice, the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy (UVLF), in collaboration with the TJ Slávia UVLF Riding Club and the City of Košice, organized the celebration. The event includes a ceremonial procession through the city streets, fanfare, and a simulated hunt in the forests near Bankov. The tradition honors Saint Hubert, the patron saint of hunters and riders.
