Hubli bus driver commits suicide at NWKRTC depot

A 38-year-old bus driver, identified as Manjunath, committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree at the NWKRTC Rural Unit-1 depot in Hubli, Karnataka. The incident occurred while he was on duty.

Following a post-mortem examination, Manjunath’s body was transported to his hometown of Mundawada in the Gadag district using the same bus he operated for his daily duties. This arrangement was made with the consent of both the transport corporation and his family.

Local police from the Gokul station have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances behind the suicide. No suicide note was recovered at the scene, and his family reported that he had not expressed any prior distress or problems.
