Huddah Monroe clarifies dating preferences regarding Kenyan men

Kenyan socialite Huddah Monroe has addressed online speculation regarding her romantic preferences, stating that her decision not to date or marry Kenyan men does not stem from hatred toward them.

During an Instagram Stories Q&A session on October 25, 2026, Monroe responded to a follower who questioned if she harbored animosity toward Kenyan men. Monroe cited her own family background to refute the claim, noting that while her father is Somali, her mother and brothers are Kenyan. “I wouldn’t marry or date them doesn’t mean I hate them,” she stated.

This follows previous comments made by the socialite in July 2025, where she indicated she does not date Kenyan celebrities. Monroe has also previously shared personal history regarding her youth in Nairobi, including a period spent living on the streets.
