Hudson Freeman announces new album ‘Doom Country’

Musician Hudson Freeman has announced his upcoming album, ‘Doom Country’, which is scheduled for release on November 6 via the label Mom + Pop. The project is described as a “post-apocalyptic road trip album through America,” blending elements of lo-fi sludge, folk, and Americana.

In conjunction with the announcement, Freeman released a new single titled “Fell Ass Backwards.” The artist noted that the album's themes are influenced by his Evangelical upbringing and contemporary apocalyptic sentiments. Freeman, originally from Texas, is set to embark on a North American tour this October alongside Jesse Welles, including a release show at the Bowery Ballroom in New York.
