Hudson Valley Art Exhibitions Scheduled for August 2026
The Hudson Valley region will host a busy schedule of art exhibitions throughout August 2026. Highlights include the Atelier 17 print show at Vassar College’s Lehman Loeb Art Center, which revisits the historic workshop’s influence on surrealism and political commentary, and the Fenimore Art Museum’s “Boundless Spirit: American Folk Art” exhibition showcasing self‑taught artists. Other notable shows feature Julianne Swartz’s clay vessels, Allyson Strafella’s typewriter drawings, and a range of solo and group exhibitions at venues such as Opus 40, Roundabouts Now, and the Athens Cultural Center.
Additional programming includes solo shows by Henry Klimowicz, Summers Moore, and Wendy White, as well as group exhibitions like “Leviathan River, Whales and the Making of Hudson” and “Invasive Species.” The month‑long calendar runs from early August through the end of the month, offering a diverse mix of contemporary, folk, and historical art across the valley’s galleries and museums.
