Hudson Valley sex offenders update registered addresses

Several Level 2 and Level 3 sex offenders with ties to the Hudson Valley have updated their registered addresses in New York over the past two weeks, according to the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS).

In New York, registered offenders are required to notify the DCJS in writing of a new address within 10 days of moving. Level 3 offenders, who are classified as having the highest risk of repeat offenses and are considered the greatest risk to the public, must also personally verify their addresses with local law enforcement every 90 days.

Recent address changes include Michael Tonkins, a Level 3 sexually violent offender, moving to Albany; Ryan Miller, a Level 3 predicate sex offender, reporting a homeless status in Ulster County; and Brian Long, a Level 3 sexually violent offender, moving to Kingston.
