Hudson Valley's Non‑Alcoholic Beverage Scene Grows with New Zero‑Proof Shop

Hudson Dry opened its zero‑proof bottle shop on Warren Street in Hudson, New York, in July 2026. Founder Ryan Curran—formerly of Eleven Madison Park, Big Night Restaurant Group and Talbott & Arding—built the store around non‑alcoholic beer, wine, spirits, mixers and cocktail ingredients, aiming to position these drinks within the broader cocktail occasion. The shop stocks brands such as Athletic Brewing, Lyre’s and Ritual, and also offers tonic waters, bitters, garnish supplies and specialty cocktail ice. The region hosts the country’s oldest continuously operating winery, Brotherhood Winery (established 1839), the historic Benmarl Vineyard, and Tuthilltown Spirits, the first legal whiskey distillery in New York since Prohibition. Local cider makers are also reviving heirloom varieties. Producers emphasize sustainability, hybrid grape cultivation and innovative techniques, continuing a tradition of craft and agricultural creativity that now extends to the burgeoning non‑alcoholic market.
