Hue City bans cutting or profiting from student school meals

The Hue City People's Committee has issued an official directive to strengthen food safety standards within educational institutions and strictly prohibit the reduction or manipulation of student meals.

The directive targets fraudulent activities such as cutting meal portions, altering menus, substituting ingredients, or using lower-quality food than contracted. Authorities are tasked with monitoring the entire supply chain, from supplier selection and raw material sourcing to processing, transportation, and distribution.

Local leaders, including heads of departments and school administrators, are held directly accountable for oversight and are prohibited from delegating these responsibilities entirely to subordinates. The city has ordered regular and unannounced inspections of high-risk food groups. Violations will result in immediate action, including the suspension of operations, revocation of food safety certificates, or referral to investigative agencies if criminal activity is suspected.
