Vietnam regional authorities address investment and governance

Various regional authorities in Vietnam are addressing economic development and administrative efficiency. In Hue City, Chairman Lê Trí Thanh has ordered officials to resolve bottlenecks in public investment disbursement, citing issues with land clearance, planning, and specialized procedures. He emphasized moving from passive to proactive management and using data to track project progress and investor capacity.

To support this, Hue is enhancing its Hue-S platform, creating dedicated sections for businesses to report difficulties and for citizens to offer suggestions. The goal is to build a responsive government that provides feedback within seven working days.

In other regions, officials are focusing on industrial and infrastructure growth. In Lam Dong, authorities are working to resolve land management and infrastructure issues to attract investment to industrial zones. In Dong Nai, efforts are underway to improve data connectivity for the city's Intelligent Operations Center (IOC) to enhance management and decision-making. Additionally, discussions regarding the State Budget Law in Vietnam have highlighted the need for flexible budget decentralization and clear distinctions between development and regular expenditures.

In Bac Ninh, the provincial government is assisting a family in identifying the remains of a martyr through DNA testing, following a significant discovery involving a historical photograph.
