Hue civil servant wins 19 billion VND Vietlott jackpot

A civil servant identified as H. Đ in the city of Hue won the Mega 6/45 jackpot in the Vietlott lottery. The prize for the 01532 draw was 18.621 billion VND (about 19 billion VND) and was claimed on 14 July via the Vietlott SMS application. Đ bought tickets after 15 h each day, selecting two personal number sequences and letting the system generate the third; the system‑generated line produced the winning combination.

Under Vietnamese tax law he must remit 10 % of the prize, more than 1.8 billion VND, which will be deducted automatically. He has pledged to donate 300 million VND to the Tam Tai Viet charitable fund and plans to use the remaining winnings responsibly with his wife.
