Huellas Run charity race to support Loja animal shelter

The Huellas Run charity race will take place on Sunday, October 4, 2026, to raise funds for the Huellas Mía animal shelter. Located in Loja, Ecuador, the shelter has been operating for approximately 18 months, focusing on rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming vulnerable animals.

The event will begin at 7:30 AM near the Reina del Cisne Stadium. Participants can run alone or with their pets. The program includes a canine squad exhibition, dance performances, and various pet-related vendor stands. Additionally, the event aims to provide deworming and vitamin treatments for up to 150 animals.

Registration costs 10 dollars and is available until October 2, 2026. Proceeds will support the shelter's needs, which currently include caring for more than 120 dogs, specifically covering food, veterinary care, and other essential maintenance.
