Huelva clan violence results in five deaths

A violent conflict between the Salazar and Moriña clans in the El Torrejón neighborhood of Huelva has resulted in five deaths. The cycle of violence reportedly began on September 10, 2024, following the shooting death of Ramón Moriña.

Investigations suggest the feud originated from domestic tensions involving Saray Moriña and her husband, Manuel, known as ‘El Baba,’ a member of the Salazar clan. Saray has stated that she faced threats of violence against her brothers after attempting to leave the relationship.

Recent escalations include a shooting in the coastal town of Isla Cristina that left three people dead, which authorities believe is linked to the ongoing enmity between the two families. Local police have increased patrols in the area as the community faces heightened fear due to the ongoing power struggle and retaliatory violence.
