Huelva hosts inaugural ‘Premios Alma’ community awards

The Huelva City Council held the first edition of the ‘Premios Alma’ (Alma Awards) at the Gran Teatro de Huelva. This initiative was created to recognize individuals, entities, and initiatives that improve the quality of life for residents and strengthen the social fabric of the capital.

The ceremony honored 14 award winners across 13 different categories. Mayor Pilar Miranda emphasized that the awards aim to provide permanent recognition to those building a more human, prosperous, and solidary city, specifically highlighting the often silent work done in neighborhoods, associations, and schools.

Among the recipients were Charo Tristancho, recognized for her work in community associations, and Enrique Andivia, honored in the health category.
