Huelva launches XIX Otoño Cultural Iberoamericano

The XIX edition of the Otoño Cultural Iberoamericano (OCIb) in Huelva will begin with two distinct musical performances scheduled for September 30 and October 1. The festival aims to strengthen cultural ties between Huelva and Ibero-American nations through approximately 40 planned activities over the coming months.

On September 30, the Gran Teatro will host ‘Las voces del silencio’, a production featuring actress Carmen de la Osa and guitarist José Luis Pastor. The show focuses on recovering the works of early female composers dating back to the 9th century.

On October 1, the Casa Colón will host ‘Azúcar para Huelva’, a symphonic concert dedicated to the centenary of Celia Cruz’s birth. The performance will feature the Huelva Municipal Symphony Band, directed by Francisco de la Poza, alongside Venezuelan singer María José Estrella and Cuban musicians.
