Huelva launches augmented reality welding classroom at Fundación Valdocco

The Huelva City Council has established a new augmented reality welding classroom at the Fundación Valdocco to enhance vocational training for the unemployed. The facility, known as the ‘Sala Blanca’, features welding simulators developed by the local company Seabery.

This technology allows students to practice welding procedures in a safe, immersive environment before working with physical materials. The initiative aims to provide specialized training that meets the needs of Huelva’s evolving industrial sector, ensuring local residents are prepared for new job opportunities. The first course, starting in August, will include 15 students undergoing more than 460 hours of specialized instruction, combining virtual training with traditional workshop practice.
