Huelva to host international mental health congress

Huelva will host the V International Congress and X National Congress of Mental Health on November 11 and 12. Under the theme ‘Mental Health and Attention to Diversity’, the event will bring together healthcare, academic, and social experts from Spain, France, Portugal, and Denmark.

The congress focuses on two primary pillars: the triple stigma faced by women—where gender, disability, and mental health intersect—and the psychological well-being of children and adolescents. Key topics for the youth sector include school bullying, microaggressions, and the challenges posed by digital environments.

Organized by the Asociación Salud Mental Huelva FEAFES, the University of Huelva, and the Juan Ramón Jiménez University Hospital, the event will feature conferences, roundtables, and 18 specialized workshops. The program includes an inaugural lecture by Mélanie Trédez-Lopez, Dean at the University of Artois.
