Huelva to launch municipal office for homeless assistance

The Huelva City Council has announced the launch of a Municipal Office for Attention to Homeless People. Located in the Gota de Leche municipal building, the office will be staffed by two social workers.

The office is designed to monitor all available resources in the city, including two new low-threshold facilities scheduled to begin operations in early October. Its primary goal is to ensure available spots are filled and to prevent individuals from remaining on the streets when resources are accessible.

Mayor Pilar Miranda stated that the office will serve a dual function: reinforcing coordination among the members of the Huelva Homelessness Care Network and managing the new facilities to ensure effective coverage and service delivery.
