Huelva tourism faces seasonal transition as summer peak ends

The province of Huelva is experiencing a seasonal shift as the summer tourism peak concludes. After closing August with an average hotel occupancy of 89.4%, rates are projected to drop to approximately 74.9% in September.

While the coastal areas are seeing a reduction in crowds and the end of many seasonal employment contracts, September remains an important month, particularly for international visitors. The region is attempting to diversify its tourism beyond sun and beach by promoting nature, gastronomy, and rural tourism in the Sierra region to mitigate the impact of the seasonal slowdown.
