Huergas de Babia hosts pastry training for women entrepreneurs
Fifteen women involved in the hospitality sector or planning new ventures participated in a pastry training course in Huergas de Babia, located in the municipality of Cabrillanes. Organized by the Asociación Cuatro Valles, the twelve-hour program consisted of three sessions held on October 19, 21, and 22.
Led by María Madrigal of A Punto de Nieve Pastelería de Montaña, the course focused on practical pastry techniques designed to diversify and improve the offerings of local hospitality businesses. The initiative aims to foster female entrepreneurship and professional development within rural Leon.
The program was funded by the Junta de Castilla y León through the 'Mujer Rural' (Rural Woman) program, with collaboration from the Cabrillanes City Council. Local officials, including José García of Cuatro Valles and Mayor Emilio Martínez, attended the closing ceremony to highlight the importance of such training in strengthening the economic fabric of rural areas.
