Huesca announces 40th International Theatre and Dance Fair

The Huesca City Council has announced the 40th edition of the Huesca International Theatre and Dance Fair. The event is scheduled to begin with a pre-fair on September 23, followed by programming in Siétamo on September 27, and the general program in the capital from September 28 to October 1.

This anniversary edition aims to bring performing arts into public streets and squares to encourage community engagement. The selection includes 36 shows spanning theatre, dance, and circus, chosen from 1,877 submissions. The lineup features talent from Aragon, nine other Spanish autonomous communities, and France.

In addition to performances, the fair will include professional training workshops focused on the mental and physical health of artists through the POCTEFA EKO program. The event will also feature an installation regarding gender violence and various mediation actions with educational centers.
