Huesca protesters demand dismissal of chief educational inspector

Approximately 2,000 people participated in a demonstration in Huesca to demand changes to the functioning of the Educational Inspection and the dismissal of its provincial chief, Iñaki Polo.

Organized by several unions including CSIF, CGT, CCOO, and UGT, the protest included teachers, students, and families. The demonstrators expressed support for professionals at IES Ramón y Cajal, specifically protesting a proposed ten-month suspension for teacher Sergio Martínez, which they view as disproportionate.

The protesters' demands include the removal of the current chief inspector to allow for a new phase based on dialogue and transparency, the elimination of certain administrative requirements in Huesca, and the unification of inspection criteria.
