Huesca Provincial Council approves aid for fire-damaged municipalities

The Provincial Council of Huesca (DPH) has approved an institutional motion to support municipalities affected by forest fires recorded this summer. To fund recovery efforts, the institution will utilize available treasury remnants to provide aid for repairing roads, water catchment systems, municipal infrastructure, and other fire-related expenses not covered by insurance or other administrations.

In addition to financial support, the DPH will provide technical and administrative assistance to help local governments assess damages and prepare the necessary documentation, such as reports and certifications, required to request aid from other institutions or insurance companies. This assistance is specifically intended to support smaller municipalities with fewer resources. The council is also studying mechanisms to advance funds to municipalities that correspond to aid granted by other administrations, provided there is legal and financial coverage.
