Huesca reuses municipal pool water for street cleaning

The Huesca City Council has begun reusing water from municipal summer swimming pools for street cleaning tasks following the end of the bathing season. This initiative aims to prevent waste by repurposing more than 3,700 cubic meters of water for public space maintenance.

The process started at the José María Escriche Municipal Sports City and is scheduled to continue at the San Jorge municipal pools. Municipal street cleaning services consume between 25,000 and 30,000 liters of water daily; the volume available from the pools is expected to cover these needs for several weeks, supporting the city's broader water saving and reuse strategy.
