Hugendubel offers free school backpacks for first graders

The bookstore chain Hugendubel is running a promotional campaign offering free school backpacks to first-grade students at participating locations in Germany.

The backpacks are filled with various items intended for the school day, including snacks, drinks, scissors, homework planners, educational booklets, and small games.

The promotion is being rolled out in stages across different federal states. While some locations began the giveaway on August 24, 2026, other branches in cities such as Munich, Stuttgart, and Würzburg are scheduled to participate starting September 14. The offer is available only while supplies last.
