Hugh Jackman to star in The Death of Robin Hood

Hugh Jackman will star in and produce The Death of Robin Hood, a film scheduled for release in Japan on January 8, 2027. Directed by Michael Sarnoski, the film offers a reimagining of the legendary outlaw, portraying Robin Hood not as a heroic figure, but as an aging man burdened by a violent past of killing and looting.

The story follows a solitary, weathered Robin Hood who is drawn back into conflict by his former companion, Little John. The production features a cast including Jodie Comer and Bill Skarsgård. The film is a British production with North American distribution rights held by A24.
