Hugh Jackman's 'The Death of Robin Hood' Trailer Reveals Dark Reimagining

A24 released the first look featurette for Michael Sarnoski’s thriller *The Death of Robin Hood*, starring Hugh Jackman as an aging Robin Hood who must confront the fallout of his violent past. The film also features Jodie Comer, Bill Skarsgård as Little John, Murray Bartlett, and Noah Jupe. Shot on 35 mm in Northern Ireland locations such as Belfast Harbour Studios, Silent Valley, Glenarm and Murlough Bay, the project completed filming in March 2025.

The teaser previews a bleak, emotional tone that departs from the traditional heroic legend. The movie is slated to debut at the 73rd Sydney Film Festival on 12 June, with a U.S. theatrical release by A24 on 19 June and a Brazilian release by Imagem Filmes on 18 June.
