Hugo Boss reshuffles management amid Frasers Group takeover pressure

Hugo Boss is undergoing a management restructuring amid an ongoing struggle for control by its major shareholder, Frasers Group. Yves Müller is stepping down from the executive board for personal reasons. Effective October 1, Ivica Maric will take over as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will also assume responsibility for daily operations as Chief Operating Officer (COO).

The shift comes as Frasers Group, led by CEO Michael Murray, increases its influence over the fashion company. Frasers Group has raised its stake to approximately 48 percent and has indicated intentions to exceed a 50 percent holding. This move cements Frasers' dominance, with Murray replacing Stephan Sturm as chairman of the supervisory board.

CEO Daniel Grieder faces increased pressure to deliver results as the company's stock price has declined significantly compared to his appointment. The restructuring aims to balance financial management with operational execution during this period of heightened shareholder influence.
