Hugo Javier González cleared for medical discharge from Itauguá hospital

Hugo Javier González, the former governor of Central, is medically cleared for discharge from the Hospital Nacional de Itauguá. According to the hospital director, Miguel Ferreira, the patient shows favorable clinical evolution but continues to face neurological challenges.

Medical specialists have recommended that González undergo a recovery period of three to six months within a family environment. This recommendation stems from ongoing issues with motor coordination, gait stability, and temporary episodes of visual hallucinations. The medical team noted that while he can move independently at times, he is at risk of falls and requires constant supervision.

González reportedly has no memory of the specific event that led to his hospitalization, though he remains oriented to time and person and recognizes his family. The relevant court has been notified and must determine where the patient will continue to serve his sentence following his discharge.
