Hugo Larsson called up to Sweden national football team
Hugo Larsson, the 22-year-old Fulham midfielder, has been called up to the Sweden national football team by manager Graham Potter. Larsson joins the squad following an injury to Wolfsburg midfielder Mattias Svanberg.
Larsson, who recently moved from Eintracht Frankfurt to the Premier League, expressed his desire to have been included in the World Cup squad but noted that he is pleased to rejoin familiar faces in the national team. Sweden is scheduled to face Romania and Poland at the national arena in Solna, followed by away matches against Bosnia and Herzegovina and Romania as part of the Nations League B division.
