Hugo Motta faces political pressure amid investigation

Messages extracted from the phone of imprisoned deputy Daniel Vorcaro indicate an intimate relationship with Motta, including discussions regarding a R$22 million loan. These findings have led some newly elected right-wing deputies to discreetly discuss Motta’s potential removal from office or impeachment.

In a public address to the Plenary, Motta called on elected and re-elected deputies to prioritize institutional stability and the balance of powers. He emphasized the need to transform political debate into concrete results for the country, stating that the Chamber must remain a pillar of legality and dialogue despite political diversity.
