Hugo Vázquez suspended for threatening referees

The Liga de Expansión MX Disciplinary Commission has issued a four-match suspension to Hugo Vázquez, a player for Tepatitlán FC and son of the club's owner, following an incident involving match officials.

After Tepatitlán FC suffered a 1-4 defeat against Dorados de Sinaloa at the Estadio Gregorio ‘Tepa’ Gómez, Vázquez entered the referees' locker room. Although he was not included in the official matchday squad, reports indicate he confronted the officiating crew with aggressive behavior, offensive language, and direct threats.

The disciplinary ruling applied a two-game ban for each of the two identified infractions: using insulting or humiliating language and making direct threats against officials in restricted areas. Vázquez is expected to remain suspended until at least the 12th round of the season.
