Huimilpan opens Corazones que Cuidan special education center

The Corazones que Cuidan Multiple Attention Center (CAM) has officially opened in Huimilpan, Querétaro, to provide specialized education for children and adolescents with disabilities. The facility is the 23rd CAM to operate in the state.

Governor Mauricio Kuri González led the opening ceremony, which coincided with the start of the 2026-2027 school year. The center currently serves an initial enrollment of approximately 40 students from various communities within the municipality.

Local officials noted that the center addresses a community demand that has existed for over two decades, reducing the need for families to travel outside the municipality for specialized educational services. The initiative is part of a broader effort by the state to expand special education coverage.
