Huixquilucan mayor Romina Contreras leads public‑service drive in El Trejo and El Arenal
The municipal government of Huixquilucan conducted its 178th "Huixquilucan Contigo 24/7" outreach in the neighborhoods of El Trejo and El Arenal. Mayor Romina Contreras Carrasco walked the main streets, listening to residents and supervising works that included pothole repairs, street‑sign installation, traffic‑flow adjustments, and the rehabilitation of lighting fixtures. Teams from Aguas de Huixquilucan cleared and desilted drainage canals to reduce flood risk, while public‑works crews trimmed trees, cleared green areas, and removed street litter. Security and traffic officials removed illegally parked vehicles and held anti‑extortion talks, and the municipal DIF distributed mobility assistance and food supplies to seniors and vulnerable families. The mayor highlighted the program’s goal of delivering municipal services directly to citizens rather than from an office, pledging continued visits to all parts of the municipality.
