Mexican municipalities deliver water tanks and new recreation facilities

The municipal government of Corregidora handed out 690 three‑layer tinacos, each holding 1,100 liters, to families under the "Por tu Vivienda a Paso Firme 2026" programme. Mayor Josué David Guerrero Trápala said the distribution aims to strengthen access to potable water and improve household living conditions, while Secretary of Social Development Germán Borja noted the tanks will support drinking, cooking and hygiene needs.

In the neighboring State of Mexico, Huixquilucan officials inaugurated two public‑use projects. A calisthenics gym with exercise bars was installed in the Hacienda del Ciervo neighborhood, and a new children's playground module was opened in Villa Florence. Mayor Romina Contreras Carrasco said the facilities are meant to encourage physical activity, reduce screen time, and foster a healthier community, adding that the spaces are inclusive and will host regular training sessions for residents of all ages.
