Huixquilucan municipality provides free psychological support to over 2,400 youths

The municipal government of Huixquilucan has operated the “Espacio Joven San Fernando”, a free, confidential centre that offers psychological counselling to children, adolescents and young adults. Municipal president Romina Contreras Carrasco says the service, available in‑person and remotely from 2025 through June 2026, has assisted more than 2,400 minors aged six and older, with over 1,700 requests from people 26 years and older. Youth director Carla Santana Cuéllar notes the centre also runs a “Línea Joven” WhatsApp helpline (55 1704 3179) on weekdays, aiming to strengthen mental health and emotional stability in the community.
