Hull City cites muscle injury for winger Bachir Belloumi's absence

Algerian winger Bachir Belloumi missed Hull City's first two pre‑season friendlies in Slovenia after suffering a thigh muscle strain, club officials said. Assistant manager Dean Holden explained that the player contracted a muscle pull in the back of his thigh during a half‑time warm‑up and, given his history of hamstring problems, the staff chose not to risk his fitness.

Belloumi returned to training on Tuesday and appears to be regaining form. Hull City, newly promoted to the Premier League, expect him to be available for the upcoming league match against Kasımpaşa SK on 1 August. The club emphasized careful fitness management as the squad prepares for the new season.
