Hull City leads race to sign goalkeeper Deniz Dönmezer

Hull City is reportedly leading the race to sign 18-year-old Turkish goalkeeper Deniz Dönmezer from Kayserispor. Negotiations are ongoing, with the English club aiming to finalize a deal during the January transfer window.

Reports suggest a proposed package worth £1.5 million, which includes a 10 per cent sell-on clause for Kayserispor. Hull City is also reportedly discussing a four-and-a-half-year contract with an option for an additional 12 months. While no official agreement has been reached, Hull is described as the side “closest to signing Deniz Dönmezer.”

One potential arrangement being considered is for Dönmezer to remain at Kayserispor until the end of the current season. This would allow the player to activate appearance-related bonuses before moving to England. Dönmezer, who previously played for Adana Demirspor, made history in May 2024 as the youngest goalkeeper to play in the Süper Lig.
