Hull FC coach criticizes poor performance in loss to Toulouse Olympique

Hull FC interim coach Andy Last described his team’s first-half performance against Toulouse Olympique as the “worst 40 minutes of the season.” The Black and Whites trailed 30-0 at halftime, a deficit compounded by captain Aidan Sezer being sent to the sin bin late in the first half.

Despite a more competitive second half where Hull FC scored quickfire tries to narrow the gap, they ultimately lost the match 44-30. Last attributed the early struggles to poor defensive preparation, turnovers, and a failure to execute team-based actions such as kick-chase and kick-pressure.

Toulouse Olympique coach Sylvain Houles praised his players for their performance and character, noting that while Hull FC managed to score 18 points in the second half, his side successfully held them to secure their tenth win of the season.
