Hull FC signs Bailey Hodgson from Leigh Leopards on two‑year deal

Hull FC announced the signing of 23‑year‑old fullback Bailey Hodgson on a two‑year contract that begins in the 2027 season. The Hull‑born player, who started his amateur career with West Hull and made his senior debut for Castleford Tigers in 2020, later moved to the NRL with stints at Newcastle Knights and Manly Sea Eagles, although he did not appear in first‑grade matches. He returned to the UK in 2025 with Leigh Leopards, scoring ten tries in 40 appearances.

Hodgson said he was excited to join his hometown club, praising the work being done off the field and looking forward to working with incoming coach Steve McNamara. Hull FC chief executive Richie Myler called Hodgson a priority signing, noting his proven Super League quality and his connection to the city. The club, currently 13th in the Super League under interim coach Andy Last, will have several full‑back options for the 2027 campaign.
