Hull KR players face multiple bans following Warrington defeat

Hull KR faces significant disciplinary setbacks following their 34-28 defeat to the Warrington Wolves. Star halfback Mikey Lewis has been handed a two-game ban for a Grade C charge involving dangerous contact with Ewan Irwin. While Hull KR coach Willie Peters defended the challenge, stating there was “no malice” and that Lewis was simply putting pressure on the kicker, the penalty will cause him to miss upcoming matches against the Wigan Warriors and Huddersfield Giants.

The club's challenges are compounded by a four-match ban issued to prop Tevita Pangai Jr. Following three separate incidents—two Grade A charges and one Grade B charge for late contact on a passer—Pangai Jr will miss matches against Wigan, Huddersfield, and St Helens, as well as the team's first play-off game if they qualify. This follows a period of unavailability for the mid-season signing, who has now missed ten matches this year.
