Hultsfred: Gardelöf family reopens retail businesses after fatal fire

The Gardelöf family is reopening their retail business in Hultsfred following the devastating fire at the Zaagshuset in August 2024. The fire resulted in the destruction of the historic building and the loss of a life.

As part of a major reinvestment, the family is launching a new 720-square-meter space in H-City. This expansion includes the original Zaags clothing store, a new interior design shop called ‘Zaags Home by Jenny’, and an accompanying café operated by Jenny Nilsson.

Family members Lasse, Ylva, Johan, Johannes, and Jenny noted that while the scale of the investment is significant for the community, the new modern facilities aim to serve both local residents and outside customers, helping to prevent the decline of the town center.
