Hulu announces premiere date for Mormon Wives spinoff

Hulu has announced the premiere date for its upcoming spinoff series, ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County’. All ten episodes of the first season are scheduled to debut on November 12 on Hulu and Disney+.

The series follows a group of young mothers and influencers in Orange County, California, navigating a community where religious beliefs and identity intersect. The show aims to explore the tension between traditional lifestyles and modern change, serving as a West Coast counterpart to the original series set in Utah.

Cast members include Jen Affleck, who is moving from the original series to the spinoff, and Bobbi Althoff, a podcaster known for her satirical content. Other cast members include Ashleigh Pease, Aspyn Ovard, Avery Woods, Jordan McClanahan, Madison Bontempo, McCall DaPron, and Salomé Andrea.

Ahead of the release, Bobbi Althoff clarified her religious background, stating she is not Mormon but grew up attending church and has a Mormon brother. Similarly, other cast members like Avery Woods and Aspyn Ovard have described their religious ties as being ‘Mormon-adjacent’ or the ‘opposite of Mormon’.
