Hulu renews ‘Good American Family’ for anthology second season

Hulu has renewed its scripted series ‘Good American Family’ for a second season, transitioning the show into an anthology format. The upcoming season will focus on the high-profile case of Lorena Bobbitt, dramatizing the events surrounding her 1993 actions against her husband, John Bobbitt, and the subsequent media coverage.

Series creator Katie Robbins and executive producer Ellen Pompeo are returning for the new season. While Pompeo served as a lead actor in the first season, she is not expected to star in the second, though she will take on a consulting role. The first season of the series focused on the Natalia Grace adoption case.
