Hulu thriller Furious follows FBI agent hunting serial killer

The Hulu original psychological crime thriller “Furious” premiered on July 27, 2026. The first season consists of eight episodes, with the initial three released at launch and the remaining five following a weekly schedule through August 31, 2026.

Created by Elizabeth Meriwether, the series stars Emmy Rossum as Alice Black, a former NYPD homicide detective turned FBI agent. Rossum’s character investigates Catherine (played by Lola Petticrew), a serial killer targeting wealthy and powerful men. The investigation becomes a personal cat-and-mouse game as the two women become increasingly entwined.

As of August 2026, Hulu has not officially renewed the series for a second season. However, showrunner Meriwether has expressed interest in continuing the story, noting her desire to spend more time developing the characters and exploring additional cases.
