Hulvey cancels Amsterdam concert over explicit venue imagery

Christian hip-hop artist Hulvey canceled a sold-out concert in Amsterdam approximately one hour before scheduled performance after discovering sexually explicit images and objects within the venue. The artist, a Dove Award winner, stated that during a VIP meet-and-greet, fans—including children as young as seven—encountered graphic imagery on the walls.

Hulvey reported that his team attempted to resolve the issue by requesting that venue staff cover the explicit displays. However, he noted that staff only offered to cover a portion of the bar area rather than the walls, which he deemed insufficient.

In a social media statement, the rapper explained his decision was rooted in his faith, stating, “I answer to God. And I have to do what He convicts me to do, and I have to make sure that I take care of the little ones.” He expressed gratitude to the fans for their understanding and indicated that his team is working to reschedule the performance at a different location and date.
