HUMAIN unveils Horizon Ultra AI laptop developed with Qualcomm

Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund-backed technology company, HUMAIN, has teased the Horizon Ultra, a new AI-focused laptop developed in collaboration with Qualcomm. The device is designed to prioritize local AI processing by utilizing a combination of a central processing unit, graphics processing unit, and neural processing unit to run advanced models directly on the hardware rather than relying on cloud services.

CEO Tareq Amin emphasized that the product’s primary innovation lies in its operating system, which is built for an “agentic AI world.” This system aims to move away from traditional app-based workflows toward an intent-driven experience, where users describe goals and AI agents execute tasks automatically. While specific details regarding pricing, battery life, and full technical specifications remain unannounced, the device is expected to feature the Snapdragon X2 Elite platform.

A full reveal of the Horizon Ultra is scheduled to take place during the LEAP technology conference in Riyadh, held from August 31 to September 3.
